3 Teens Suspected Of Vehicle Burglaries In Fairfield
Three teenagers are suspected of breaking into cars overnight, although no stolen items have been found, according to police.
FAIRFIELD, CA — Three teenagers were arrested after a Fairfield resident called police to report possible vehicle burglaries, Fairfield police said Tuesday.
The resident called police around 4 a.m. Friday to report the burglaries, taking place in the 700 block of Castlewood Court. The resident gave a description of the suspects, and an officer found people who matched the description inside a nearby vehicle.
Officers searched the suspects' car and found they were in possession of a ski mask and window punches, according to police. An investigation found that the suspects had been entering vehicles, but officers found no evidence of stolen items, according to police.

The teens — two 16-year-olds and one 17-year-old, all from Vallejo — were arrested on suspicion of possession of burglary tools, tampering with vehicles and conspiracy to commit a crime. They were given citations to appear in court and turned over to their parents or guardians.
Police were investigating any connections between these break-ins and similar break-ins in the area several days ago, but haven't established any links between the two.
