Magnitude 5.0 Earthquake Strikes Near The Geysers
BREAKING: The quake was felt throughout much of the North Bay.

NORTH BAY, CA -- A 5.0-magnitude earthquake struck the morning of Dec. 14 near The Geysers in Sonoma County, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The quake was reported at 8:41 a.m. and was centered about 5.6 miles west-northwest of The Geysers, had a depth of 0.9 kilometers and was felt through much of Sonoma and Napa counties, Geological Survey officials said.
The 5.0 quake was followed by a 3.0 tremor about five minutes later, at 8:46 a.m., according to the USGS.
