Quarantined Cruise Ship Passengers To Return To California, Texas
Nearly 400 Americans quarantined on the Diamond Princess amid the coronavirus outbreak will fly home to military bases in California, Texas.

TOKYO — Nearly 400 Americans quarantined on Princess Cruise Line's Diamond Princess ship will fly home, the US Embassy in Japan told the Associated Press. Passengers on the ship will fly to the United States on a chartered flight Sunday after they were quarantined on the docked ship at Yokohama, a port city southwest of Tokyo, amid fears of the new coronavirus.
So far, 285 people from the ship have tested positive for novel coronavirus, after 67 new cases were found Saturday, AP reports via ABC7.
The embassy said in a letter to passengers and crew that Americans on the ship will be flown to Travis Air Force Base in California, with others continuing to Lackland Air Force Base in Texas. After arriving in the U.S., all will be required to go through another two weeks of quarantine.
