CHP Seeks Witnesses In Fatal Hit-And-Run Near Fairfield

FAIRFIELD, CA — The California Highway Patrol is seeking the public's help to solve a fatal hit-and-run crash in a rural area of Solano County northwest of Fairfield.

At 9:45 a.m. Saturday, the CHP Solano Area Office received a call about a possible hit-and-run with injuries at 4488 Abernathy Road, north of Andrews Lane, CHP Officer Miguel Camarena Jr. said.

Officers responded and found a man's body, Camarena said.

Investigators believe two cars were involved in a hit-and-run crash but have no vehicle descriptions.

"Due to the limited amount of information available, we are actively requesting help from the public," Camarena said.

CHP asked anyone who was in the area of Abernathy Road around 6 p.m. Friday to call the CHP Solano Area at 707-428-2100 or the CHP's non-emergency public access number at 1-800-TELL-CHP (1-800-835-5247).
