Football Stars to play in Rotary Golf Tournament
Former SF 49er Safety Dwight Hicks and Pittsburg Steeler Richard Sheldon will be playing in the charity tournament on Friday
Fairfield Suisun Rotary President Kendall Hillman today announced that former San Francisco 49er Safety Dwight Hicks and former Pittsburg Steeler Cornerback Richard Sheldon will be playing in the 45th Annual Rotary Charity Tournament on September 14, 2018 at Paradise Valley Golf Course.
“Our annual golf tournament is always a fun-filled, exciting event, but having these two football greats join us makes it even more special” said Mr. Hillman.
Dwight Hicks is a former professional American football player who played safety for the Toronto Argonauts in 1978, the San Francisco 49ers from 1979 to 1985, and for the Indianapolis Colts in 1986.

A four-time Pro Bowl selection from 1981 to 1984, Hicks was a key player on the 49ers in the 1980s, assisting his team to NFL Championship wins in Super Bowl XVI and Super Bowl XIX.
After his football career, Hicks went on to become a popular character actor in films such as The Rock, Jack, Armageddon, and In the Mix. He also made appearances on various television shows, including How I Met Your Mother,Castle, Body of Proof, Cold Case, The Practice, The X-Files, ER and The O.C.

Richard Shelton is a former professional American football cornerback in the National Football League. He played five seasons for the Denver Broncos and the Pittsburgh Steelers. He is currently a scout for the Tennessee Titans.
