Governor Appoints New Solano County Court Judge
Davis resident William Pendergast, 44, will take over for retiring Judge David Power.

SOLANO COUNTY, CA - Gov. Jerry Brown announced Dec. 23 that he has appointed a Davis man as a Solano County Superior Court judge.
William Pendergast, 44, will take over for retiring Judge David Power.
Pendergast has been a commissioner for the Solano County Superior Court since 2011. From 2010 to 2011 he served as a deputy conflict defender at the Solano County Conflict Defender's Office.

From 2002 until 2010, he was in private practice and from 1997 to 2002, he was an associate with the firm Kilpatrick & Daniels.
He holds a doctorate of law degree from the University of California, Hastings College of Law and a Bachelor's degree from the University of California at Berkeley.

Pendergast, a Democrat, is to be paid $191,612 annually in his new position.
