Kaiser Permanente partners with Mount Calvary Baptist Church for health talks and community health fair
The program includes health talks presented by Kaiser Permanente physicians and specialists and culminates in a large community health fair.
Kaiser Permanente is partnering with Mount Calvary Baptist Church (MCBC) in Fairfield to provide valuable health education to members of the community.
The initiative, called Care Beyond Our Walls, seeks to provide health education and resources in the community, in a faith-based setting, to improve health outcomes for everyone. The program includes health talks presented by Kaiser Permanente physicians and specialists and culminates in a large community health fair coordinated by MCBC. All events are open to the public.

Learn the importance of visiting a personal physician and staying up-to-date with health screenings. Healthy habits such as drinking more water, what we should eat and how much, and how to manage stress is highlighted. Participants also learn how to overcome challenges in our daily lives, such as finding time to exercise or preparing home-cooked meals.
Heart Health and Diabetes

MCBC Fellowship Hall, 1735 Enterprise Dr., Bldg.3, Fairfield
Participants will learn what diabetes is, where it comes from, and how to decrease risks for diabetes. Conversations include increasing physical activity, managing stress, and how to eat more healthfully. Those with diabetes will receive information about medications and monitoring sugars. There will also be a Q&A period and all participants go home with many health resources and services available within and outside of Kaiser Permanente.
Health and Wellness Community Fair
August 20th, 9am-3pm

Kaiser Permanente will be present at the Mount Calvary Baptist Church Health and Wellness Community Fair with:
· Mobile Health Van providing on the spot urgent care appointments with physicians for Kaiser Permanente members.
· Nurses available for BMI and blood pressure checks.
· “Ask the Doctor” booth.
· Giveaways!
