Pedestrian Fatally Struck By Car In Fairfield

North Texas Street was closed between Air Base Parkway and Atlantic Avenue as police investigated the fatal collision.

FAIRFIELD, CA — A male walking in Fairfield died when he was struck by a vehicle Tuesday morning, police said. Police reported the fatal collision around 7:15 a.m.

North Texas Street between Air Base Parkway and Atlantic Avenue was expected to be closed until at least 10 a.m., Lt. Jausiah Jacobsen said.

The male driver of the Nissan SUV that struck the pedestrian stayed at the scene, and impairment is not believed to be a factor in the collision, Jacobsen said.
