Police Praise Fairfield Resident For Helping Foil Burglaries
A tip from a Fairfield resident led to the arrest of three teens suspected of trying to break into cars, police said.
FAIRFIELD, CA — Police in Fairfield are crediting a vigilant resident for helping foil vehicle burglaries Friday morning.
On Friday at 3:50 a.m., a resident contacted the Fairfield Police Department and reported there were several people trying to break into vehicles in the area of Castlewood Court and Brookdale Circle.
While officers responded, the resident remained on the phone with dispatchers and used security cameras to watch the suspects.

Officers arrived on the scene and arrested three juveniles attempting to flee the area in a vehicle.
A 17-year -old and two 16-year-olds were arrested on suspicion of possession of burglary tools, vehicle tampering and conspiracy to commit crimes, police said.
