Rotary Announces Camp Royal Selections
Mike Kassa and Joseph DiChoco headed to leadership training
The Fairfield Suisun Rotary Club today announced the selection of Michael Kassa (Fairfield High School) and Joseph DiChoco (St. Patrick’s High School) to attend the Rotary District 5160 Camp Royal Youth Leadership Program.
Camp Royal is a leadership training program for high school juniors, funded and run by Rotary District 5160. Founded in 1979, Camp Royal has become one of the top leadership camps for incoming high school seniors in the country.
Students from throughout the district are selected competitively to attend. During the weeklong camp, students develop advanced leadership skills by working with professional mentors, counselors, educators, keynote speakers, peers and Rotarians. A day on the "Ropes Course" teaches students experience in team building, trust and successful cooperation.
