SCOE Announces 2019 Certificated, Classified Educators Of Year
"SCOE is very fortunate to have many wonderful classified and certificated employees who provide essential support to our students."
From Solano County:Lisette Estrella-Henderson, Solano County Superintendent of Schools is pleased to announce the Solano County Office of Education’s (SCOE) 2019-2020 certificated and classified educators of the year.
Jordan Hunt, Senior Human Resources Analyst at SCOE’s administrative office, won the title of Classified Employee of the Year in the Office, Technical category for her excellent work performance, always giving 100%, and constant willingness to help others.
Colleen Van Nes-Fahey, School Psychologist in the Special Education program at Irene Larsen Center, was named the Certificated Employee of the Year for embodying SCOE’s Guiding Principles through leadership and support of colleagues and successful collaboration to ensure students’ unique academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs are met.

Jordan Hunt and Colleen Van Nes-Fahey were selected from a large group of nominees for the certificated and classified educators of the year and will represent SCOE at the annual Countywide Educators of the Year event on Tuesday, April 30, 2019, at 5:15 PM at the Joseph A. Nelson Community Center, 611 Village Drive in Suisun City. The public is welcome to attend to show support for these two exemplary educators.

The Solano County Board of Education will recognize Colleen, Jordan, and others who were nominated, during its regular meeting on May 8, 2019, at 6:00 PM in SCOE’s Boardroom. The Board invites coworkers, friends, family, and members of the community to attend and honor these outstanding employees who epitomize the admirable qualities desired in all SCOE personnel.
