What does a two-time Super Bowl winning Safety, a two-time Cy Young Award winning pitcher, a left-handed National League outfielder and a Country Western Singer have in common?

They will all be playing in the Fairfield Suisun Rotary Outhouse Open Charity Golf Tournament on August 12, 2019 at Green Valley Country Club.

Fairfield Suisun Rotary President Kelly Rhoads-Poston today announced that former San Francisco 49er Safety Dwight Hicks, former Kansas City Pitcher Bret Sagerhagen, former Atlanta Braves Outfielder Joe Trippy and Country Western Star Colt Ford had all signed up to play and will be donating signed balls, bats, and albums to the event.

“Our annual golf tournament is always a fun-filled, exciting event, but having these celebrities join us makes it even more special” said President Rhoads-Poston.

Dwight Hicks is a former professional American football player who played safety for the San Francisco 49ers from 1979 to 1985. A four-time Pro Bowl selection from 1981 to 1984, Hicks was a key player on the 49ers in the 1980s, assisting his team to NFL Championship wins in Super Bowl XVI and Super Bowl XIX.

Bret Saberhagen is a former professional baseball right-handed starting pitcher, who played most of his career for the Kansas City Royals. Saberhagen is a three-time All-Star, a two-time Cy Young Award winner, and a Gold Glove Award winner. He led MLB in wins and earned run average in 1989, and threw a no-hitter in 1991.

Joe Trippy was a left handed outfielder for the Atlanta Braves from 1995-2000. He now lives in the area and is a member of the Green Valley Country Club.

Colt Ford is an American country musician from Athens, Georgia, US, known for his eclectic style that draws heavily on hip hop, with his style being dubbed as 'hick hop.' In 2012, Ford achieved his first number one album, reaching the top spot on the Top Country Albums chart. During his career, he was also a professional golfer on the National Tour.
