The Solano County Sheriff's Office has identified the victim of a homicide near Vacaville Tuesday night as 27-year-old Jimmy Degros of Suisun City.
An anonymous caller reported a loud argument and gunshots in the 7200 block of Stieger Hill Road north of Vacaville around 9 p.m. Tuesday, sheriff's Deputy Daryl Snedeker said.
When deputies arrived, 26-year-old Sergio Perez of Vacaville was driving down the driveway of a residence, but he backed up and parked in the front yard, Snedeker said.
Deputies then found Degros' body near the residence, Snedeker said.
Sheriff's deputies detained and questioned Perez. He was then arrested for murder and resisting or obstructing arrest.
Perez was booked in the Solano County jail under no bail and is scheduled to be arraigned Friday afternoon.
