Teen Applications Sought for Rotary Camp Experience

Fairfield Susuin Rotary offers two free spots in annual camp teaching business skills

The Fairfield Suisun Rotary Club is now accepting applications from Fairfield Suisun high school juniors for the Rotary District 5160 Camp Venture Program.

Camp Venture is a five day training and motivational camp for students who have finished their junior year and are interested in pursuing a career in business, particularly as entrepreneurs. It is held in late June at St. Mary’s College in Moraga. Students, sponsored by their local Rotary Clubs, have the opportunity to interact with experienced business people and meet with other students in District 5160 who have similar interests. Each student ends the week by participating in a “Shark Tank” like experience where student teams present new product ideas, with associated marketing and business plans, to a panel of business leaders.

Two students from the Fairfield-Suisun community will be chosen after a review of their applications and an interview with Rotary members.
