Thief Puts On Watch At Macy's, Walks Out Wearing It: Fairfield PD

VIDEO: After admiring a "very expensive watch" for a few seconds, the thief decided to take it home without paying for it, police said.

FAIRFIELD, CA — Police are working to identify a man accused of walking into a Solano County Macy's store, asking a clerk to try on a "very expensive watch," then walking out of the store wearing the watch without paying for it.

It happened Saturday, Nov. 9 at Macy's in the Westfield Solano mall, 1544 Travis Blvd., Fairfield police said in a social media post.

Police said the suspect must have liked the way the watch looked on his wrist but didn't want to spend the money.
