Fairfield Suisun Rotary President Kelly Rhoads Poston today confirmed that Heretic Brewery in Fairfield has joined the growing list of breweries participating in the Third Annual BrewBash at the Basin on Saturday April 11.
Heretic’s owner and brew master Jamil Zainasheff is an award-winning homebrewer, author, beer judge, and host of “The Jamil Show” and “Brew Strong” shows on The Brewing Network. He also co-authored two books, Brewing Classic Styles (Brewers Publications, 2007) and Yeast: The Practical Guide to Beer Fermentation (Brewers Publications, 2010).
When asked how he came up with the name “Heretic”,Jamil says he was looking for “a brewery name that was both memorable and edgy. A name that showed by commitment and “passion about great craft beer and that would push the boundries.”

His brew menu includes beers like Succubus, Shallow Grave Porter (Bronze Award Winner at the World Beer Cup), Blood of Jupiter, Gramaye (Gold Award Winner at the Great American Beer Festival) and Evil Quadruplets.
BrewBash at the Basin is sponsored by the Fairfield-Suisun Rotary Club and the City of Suisun Parks and Recreation Department to raise money for local youth programs.

The confirmed breweries include companies from throughout California including, among others: Tannery Bend Beer Works, DNA Brewing, Blue Frog Brewing, Green Flash, Heretic Brewing, True Symmetry Brewing, Big Ass Brands Beer, Bruehol, Three Mile Brewing, East Brother Brew Company, King Cong Brewing, Fall River Brewing, and Del Cielo Brewing.
