Traffic Advisory: Broken Water Main Closes Fairfield Intersection

FAIRFIELD, CA — Motorists were urged Monday to avoid the intersection of Capitola Way and Waterman Boulevard in Fairfield for the next week as a broken water main beneath the roadway is repaired. As a result of the work, the intersection will be reduced to one lane in each direction, with a reduction in speed to 25 mph, the Fairfield Police Department said.

"There will also be periodic closures of turn lanes at the intersection," Fairfield police said. "Work is expected to take one week to complete. It is recommended you avoid this intersection while construction is completed."
