51 Search Warrants Served East Of Temecula: 50-Ton Marijuana Haul
Eight handguns, four rifles and one shotgun were also collected for evidence, and approximately $49,546 in cash was seized.
ANZA, CA — Fifty tons of marijuana were discovered east of Temecula Thursday during a multi-agency law enforcement investigation.
Beginning at 7 a.m., the Riverside County Sheriff's Department began serving 51 search warrants at multiple addresses in Anza, according to Sgt. Brad Farwell.
During the investigation, approximately 100,343 cannabis plants were eradicated and an additional 9,806 pounds of processed marijuana were seized, for a total combined weight of approximately 50 tons, Farwell reported.

Five people were arrested during the raids, according to Farwell. Jail records were not available for the arrestees.

In addition to the sheriff's department, more than a dozen other agencies were involved in the investigation.
