TEMECULA, CA — Board & Brew, a Del Mar-founded sandwich biz that prides itself on no preservatives, no frozen meats, plenty of craft brews and a diehard-fan favorite "secret sauce," is expanding into the Inland Empire with a new location set to open Aug. 7 in Temecula.

The shop in the Winchester Meadows shopping center plans a three-day, grand-opening extravaganza, Aug. 7-9, featuring freebies, BOGO offers and a raffle benefiting Temecula-based Charity for Charity, a non-profit that fulfills wishes for those suffering life-threatening illnesses or traumatic injuries.

This will mark the 18th locale for the chain, that launched in 1979 and operates in San Diego and Orange counties, along with a restaurant in Arizona.

The Temecula shop will run its three-day opening 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday at an outdoor, socially-distanced, dining space at the restaurant, at 40335 Winchester Road.

Diners can sample menu offerings and score buy-one-sandwich-get-one-free deals. (RSVP/register here in advance to claim the BOGO offer.)

Attendees also can enter the charity raffle featuring such prizes as a two-day weekend getaway to Carlsbad Inn by The Beach, gift cards from Board & Brew and other establishments, a Temecula boat ride and a wine-country basket.

"One-hundred percent of the proceeds from our grand-opening raffles and donations will go to Charity for Charity, Temecula’s original wish-fulfilling organization. Our commitment is to quality AND community," said restaurant management, adding that the Board & Brew corporate culture includes fundraising partnerships with local schools, sports leagues, non-profits and churches.

And of course, don't miss sampling the proprietary "secret sauce" — so tasty, as epicurean legend goes, it keeps customers coming back for more.

It is gluten- and nut-allergy free, vegan-friendly and "tastes like the other side of the rainbow," according to Board & Brew. "You’ll be convinced our Secret Sauce is made with unicorn tears, but don’t ask us what’s in it. … We’ll never tell!"
