Brush Fire Reported Near Lake Skinner

LAKE SKINNER, CA — A brush fire reported Friday afternoon near Lake Skinner charred between 5 and 10 acres, Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department reported.

Air and ground crews were being used to fight the blaze that was reported at 4:30 p.m.

The brusher was burning in "light fuels" before crews were able to halt the fire's spread, according to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department.

Shortly after 5 p.m., the agency announced crews were expected to remain on scene for several hours to fully contain the fire.

There were no immediate reports of injuries or evacuations.
