COVID-19 Hospitalizations Continue Decline In Riverside County
There were 145 COVID-19 patients hospitalized countywide on Monday.
RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA — COVID-positive hospitalizations in Riverside County declined further over the weekend, and the overall case count barely budged, but an additional 24 virus-related deaths were confirmed Monday.
There were 145 patients diagnosed with coronavirus in hospitals countywide on Monday, down 30 from Friday, according to the Riverside University Health System, which also reported 31 patients in intensive care units, down six from Friday.
Riverside County health officials do not release updated coronavirus figures on weekends.

The total number of COVID-19 cases recorded since the public health documentation period began in March 2020 is 293,149, up 182 from Friday, according to RUHS data. Verified patient recoveries countywide are now at 285,805.
A total of 4,141 deaths from coronavirus-related complications have been recorded in the last 12 months. The fatalities are trailing indicators because of delays processing death certificates.

Riverside County remains in the less-restrictive red tier of the state's Blueprint for a Safer Economy framework. RUHS officials said that if current metrics and trends hold, the county may be eligible to move into the orange tier before the end of April. See what's now open.
