Employee Dies After Violent Robbery at Temecula Music Store

Authorities are searching for a suspect in the fatal beating of an employee at Pete's Music and Guitar Shop in Old Town Temecula.

An employee of Pete’s Music & Guitar Shop died after he was beaten and bound during a robbery Friday night, police said. No arrests have been made and no suspect descriptions were released by authorities.

Edward Lawrence Robinson, 64, of Fallbrook died from injuries he sustained during the apparent robbery at the store on Old Town Front Street, according to the Sheriff’s Department. Officers from the Temecula Police Department found Robinson around 7:30 p.m. Friday in the store, bound and unconscious with severe injuries, police said.

Robinson was transported to Inland Valley Hospital, where he died, Saturday morning, according to Sgt. Tyson Voss.

Details about what may have been stolen during the robbery were not released by authorities.
