Firefighters Douse Blaze East Of Temecula

ANZA, CA ? Fire engines raced toward Anza on State Route 79 South midday to battle a house fire extending into brush, Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department shared.

The blaze began in an outbuilding, damaging the structure and scorching roughly a quarter-acre of brush before it was stopped.

The non-injury blaze was reported at 11 a.m. Thursday in the area of Jay Dee and La Cima lanes, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.

The agency stated that multiple engine crews were sent to the location and encountered flames in the outbuilding, extending to surrounding vegetation at a slow rate of spread.

A house was in the path of the blaze, but firefighters quickly established containment lines and completely extinguished it 15 minutes later, according to officials at the scene.
