Lake Elsinore Teen Killed in Fatal Car Crash in Stolen Car after Attempting to Hit a Police Officer
The investigation is ongoing and involves a Ford truck stolen out of the city of Murrieta on June 14.

The Wildomar Police Department is conducting an ongoing investigation regarding a fatality on June 14, 2015. At 5:41 AM, a city of Wildomar Police officer was patrolling the parking lot of the Oak Tree Mall, located in the 23000 block of Clinton Keith Road, when he observed a male subject, driving a late model Ford pickup truck, driving toward him at a high rate of speed. The officer was able to avoid being struck by the suspect’s vehicle. The suspect vehicle fled the parking lot and proceeded northbound on Interstate 15 while the officer attempted to catch up to the vehicle.
At 5:42 AM, the suspect vehicle was observed exiting Interstate 15 at Baxter Road. The vehicle then left the roadway and rolled several times which caused the driver to be ejected. Paramedic and Fire personnel responded to the scene and transported the driver to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The driver was later identified as Randall Evans (age 17), a resident of Lake Elsinore.

The California Highway Patrol responded to the scene to conduct the collision investigation. Further investigation revealed the Ford truck was stolen out of the city of Murrieta earlier that morning.
