A Love Letter To Jacob
A college student told his friend that one day he would marry her. A few years later, that's exactly what he did.

To celebrate Valentine’s Day, we asked Patch readers to write a love letter to that special someone and let us deliver it. This is Kristy Mathis’ story about her husband, Jacob:
“When I was 19 I started attending a college church group called The Fold. I met many amazing people there. But there was this one guy who was a greeter and we became friends. Two years later he whispered in my ear that he had missed me after I had been gone for a bit. I knew in that instant God had a plan for us.
I had never met a man whose heart was so kind and who wanted to help others. We kept our friendship while he was finishing up school. But one day at Oscars pond he told me he knew he was going to marry me one day. About a year and a half later he asked me to be his wife at the Santa Rosa plateau under the moon and then we danced to the Lifehouse song 'Everything.'

Another year later in 2006, we were married at the Orchard in Menifee in front our our families and friends. We have been married for 11 years and have two beautiful daughters. We still attend church together with our Pastor Sabo and serve in the children's ministry. Jacob is my greatest adventure and I know the best is yet to come with him.”
