Rain Prompts Closures of Temecula Fields

TEMECULA, CA — Temecula city officials issued an advisory Tuesday afternoon, alerting to the closure of nearly all local fields.

The city states:

All city parks & school district fields will be closed today (with the exception of Birdsall's artificial turf Soccer Fields) due to wet field conditions.

Field condition information can also be found by calling (951) 694-6447 or by visiting temeculaCA.gov/sports after 3pm, Monday-Friday.

As of 2 p.m. Tuesday, National Weather Service forecasters said 0.02 inches of rain had been recorded in the last 24 hours at their French Valley Airport measuring location.
