Restaurant Opens 'Dinner & A Show' Venue In Temecula

TEMECULA, CA — The Bordeaux Room, a restaurant with a live-entertainment venue, officially opened this weekend in Temecula — an expansion of the owners' catering and banquet hall business.

The family-operated establishment on Jefferson Avenue now will host Thursday, Friday and Saturday dinners, plus Sunday brunches, with performances by local musicians, comedians and theater shows, including an upcoming "whodunnit" murder-mystery.

The Bordeaux Room's history dates to the 1970s when Rich and Marie Fowler began their beverage and gourmet-food business, catering company picnics, parties, private functions, winery events and weddings, later adding the Bordeaux Room, a 50+-person, banquet venue and commercial kitchen in Temecula.

After matriarch Marie passed away in 2019, the couple's daughter, Michelle Howard of Murrieta, and her husband, Rich, joined the family enterprise, helping to run Catering & Events by 45.

This new restaurant venture will offer set seatings for Thursday-to-Saturday, three-course dinners ($55 per person) with such dishes as salads, tri-tip, chicken madeira, salmon, stuffed portobello mushrooms with wild rice and desserts. Sunday brunches ($39.99), at 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., will offer salads, a prime-rib carving station, Monte Crisco sandwiches, eggs Benedict and other breakfast sides. Bottomless mimosas can be added to brunch for $10.

A Mother's Day Brunch on Sunday, May 9, appears to be sold out. However, on the calendar Saturday, May 15 is a live interactive, murder-mystery, "Framed at the Fix," set speakeasy-style in the Roaring '20s.
