RivCo Child Molester Arrested With Ski Mask, Rope, Condoms And Pills: Police

The man was previously convicted of performing lewd or lascivious acts with a child under 14 years old, police said.

RIVERSIDE, CA ? A Riverside man who was on parole for molesting a child was arrested this week after he was found in possession of several prohibited items, including condoms and sex-enhancing pills, according to police.

Brian Keith Mosby, 63, was taken into custody on Thursday and booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center for violating the terms of his parole, Riverside police said in a release. He was arrested after officers went to his home to conduct a parole compliance check.

The check was conducted at Mosby's home located in the 700 block of South University Drive. According to police, Mosby is on active parole for lewd or lascivious acts with a child under 14 years by force or fear.

During a search of Mosby's home, police located a backpack containing a ski mask, a leather rope, sex-enhancing pills and condoms. Possession of these items violated his parole terms and conditions, prompting his parole agent to issue a warrant for his arrest.

Mosby's arrest was part of the Riverside Police Department?s ongoing efforts to maintain regular contact with sex offenders and arson registrants living in the city by verifying the residential information they provided during their most recent registration.

During Thursday's operation, officers made contact with 25 registered sex offenders and arson registrants at 12 different locations.

?These proactive operations help confirm the information offenders provide and ensure they?re following the rules designed to protect our community,? Compliance Unit Officer James Payne said in a statement. ?When we find violations, we act.?
