The sheriff and State Superintendent of Public Instruction Tony Thurmond will debate ahead of the 2026 gubernatorial election.
CALIFORNIA ? State Superintendent of Public Instruction Tony Thurmond will debate Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco on FOX 11 at 6 p.m. on July 31.
Thurmond is a 2026 gubernatorial candidate, while Bianco has yet to file paperwork, state records show.
The Wednesday night debate is expected to cover state education, public safety, housing, and the budget, among other topics.
