Serious Injuries Reported In Temecula Area Crash

TEMECULA, CA — A motorcyclist was rushed to the hospital Saturday in serious condition after crashing on the outskirts of Temecula, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.

The wreck was first reported at 10:01 a.m. along Highway 79 at Los Caballos Road, according to the fire department.

Initial reports from the California Highway Patrol indicated that the motorcyclist may have been traveling in the wrong direction before the crash. When first responders arrived at the scene, they found the motorcycle rider conscious but with multiple leg fractures, according to the CHP.

Paramedics called a helicopter to the scene to transport the person.

It wasn't immediately clear if any other vehicles were involved in the crash.
