UPDATED: Smoke Smell in Temecula: From Camp Pendleton Brush Fire

The smoke affecting Temecula Sunday evening was from brush fires at Camp Pendleton and posed no threat to the community, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.

Two separate fires near the base burned a combined total of 30 acres as of Sunday night, though both were expected to be contained by the end of the day.
