SR-79 Closure In Temecula Starts June 17
State Route 79 south in Temecula will see a closure with oneway-traffic controls.
TEMECULA, CA — Roadwork on state Route 79 south, from the San Diego County Line to Butterfield Stage Road, continues, with traffic delays starting Wednesday.
North- and southbound lanes will close from Pacific Sunset Drive to Anza Road beginning Wednesday, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oneway traffic control will be in place, according to Caltrans District 8.
Work at this location will take approximately one week, then the closure will move to another portion of the roadway. The daytime work will continue until August 2020.

Nighttime work will be ongoing from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. through the end of June.
The project is expected to be completed in October (weather permitting).
