Temecula Area Gas Prices Drop For 25th Time In 28 Days

Prices are still 3.3 cents more than one year ago, data shows.

RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA — The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Riverside County dropped Friday for the 25th time in 28 days, decreasing six-tenths of a cent to $3.568.

The average price is 2.7 cents less than one week ago and 10.4 cents lower than one month ago, but 3.3 cents more than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It has decreased 11.1 cents over the past 28 days, including a half-cent on Thursday.

"Oil prices are down over the last month because of worries over the trade war with China and its economic effects," said Jeffrey Spring, the Automobile Club of Southern California's corporate communications manager. "If Southern California gasoline supplies stay healthy, the lower oil prices are likely to push down pump prices further in the coming weeks."
