Temecula Man Arrested in Connection to Fatal Shooting

TEMECULA, CA -- A man was arrested in connection to a fatal shooting on the Santa Rosa plateau, authorities announced Monday.
Temecula resident Agustin Cruz, 48, was identified as a suspect in last Tuesday's shooting that left one man dead and another wounded. The wounded victim is currently undergoing treatment.
The shooting happened around 8:15 p.m. on the 43800 block of El Calamar Road, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.

Cruz, who was arrested seven days later, was booked into the Southwest Detention Center and is currently held on $1,000,000 bail.
The victims’ identities are being withheld pending notification to family members.
