TEMECULA, CA ? Cloudy skies and rain chances were predicted in parts of Riverside County through Thanksgiving week, according to the National Weather Service.

"At least a tenth of an inch of rain is expected to accumulate for Orange County, the Inland Empire, San Bernardino county mountains and portions of the High Desert between Monday and Wednesday morning," the NWS said.

Winds were also predicted to be the strongest over the mountains into the deserts, with peak gusts around 35 to 45 mph from Tuesday night into Wednesday.

By Thanksgiving, skies are predicted to be partly sunny in the Riverside metropolitan and Temecula areas with temperatures reaching around 70. In the Coachella Valley and Palm Springs areas, temperatures were expected to reach 75 on Thanksgiving.

Temperatures reached a high of 64 in the Riverside metropolitan area Sunday, 67 in the Temecula Valley, 75 in the Coachella Valley and 73 in the Palm Springs area.

According to the NWS, sunny skies were expected to return to the county by next weekend, with temperatures remaining in the low 70s for downtown Riverside and Temecula Valley and the mid-70s for the Coachella Valley and Palms Springs areas.

Overnight lows were expected to drop to the mid-to-low 50s in the Riverside metropolitan area, high 40s in the Temecula Valley, low 50s in the Coachella Valley and high 50s in the Palm Springs area throughout the week.
