Thunderstorms Put Inland Empire Mountain Communities Under Flood Watch
Monsoon conditions were expected to bring scattered thunderstorms with heavy rainfall to the areas, the NWS reported.
RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA ? A flood watch was in effect through 10 p.m. Monday across mountain communities in Riverside and San Bernardino counties, according to the National Weather Service.

"Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations," according to the agency.

Crestline, Big Bear Lake, Idyllwild-PineCove, Big Bear City, Wrightwood, Lucerne Valley, Apple Valley, Lake Arrowhead, Hesperia, Running Springs, and Victorville were all under the NWS flood watch.
Motorists were advised not to drive through flood areas.

"Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop," the NWS reported.
