Woman ID'd In Deadly SWR Street Sweeper Crash
The woman died at the scene of the wreck last week.

LAKE ELSINORE, CA — A woman who died after crashing an SUV into a street sweeper in Lake Elsinore has been publicly identified. The Riverside County coroner's office says 30-year-old Linda Diaz died about 10 minutes after slamming into the truck early Friday morning. She was a resident of Riverside.
The collision happened about 3:35 a.m. Friday on state Route 74, between Ardenwood Way and Rosetta Canyon Drive, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.
"Upon their arrival, officers learned a Toyota SUV had collided with a street sweeper vehicle," Sgt. James Woodland said in a news release. "The driver of the SUV was pronounced deceased a the scene."

The sweeper operator was not injured, Woodland said.
The highway was shut down for six hours while a preliminary investigation was conducted. Woodland said alcohol or drugs did not appear to be factors in the crash.
