Black Friday Car Shopping In Trabuco Canyon
Orange County is one of the most affordable places in the country to buy a car. No time like Black Friday for planning to buy a new ride!

TRABUCO CANYON, CA — With Black Friday coming, the automotive buyer intelligence firm, Autolist.com, released its California Affordability Rankings study that ranked Aliso Viejo the top billing in Orange County for the best place to purchase a vehicle. Lake Forest was at a close second, with Mission Viejo and San Clemente the #4 and #5 most affordable places to buy a used vehicle in the state.
The study determined the following top five most affordable cities in California to purchase a car during the holiday week:
- Aliso Viejo -- $1,257 below the California average
- Lake Forest -- $1,028 below the California average
- Daly City -- $976 below the California average
- Mission Viejo -- $938 below the California average
- San Clemente -- $924 below the California average
The study analyzed over 83 million vehicles and 4.8 billion unique data points across vehicles nationwide. In San Clemente specifically, the study found that the Toyota Camry is the most affordable vehicle to purchase, with prices $1,319 below California's average. The top five vehicles with the biggest savings in San Clemente on Black Friday are as follows:

- Audi A4
- Toyota Prius
- Volkswagen Tiguan
- Ford Explorer
These vehicles exhibit average savings between $1,319 and $1,191 off average prices in California. In addition, the study also found the most affordable vehicles statewide averaged $1,745 to $1,199 savings compared to the national average.Vehicles with the Biggest Savings in California

Patch asked residents of Mission Viejo how they felt about Black Friday shopping, and whether Car Buying was on their list in an impromptu Patch Facebook poll. Out of 50 responses, overwhelmingly residents of Mission Viejo abhor Black Friday shopping (with 24 reporting as "no way!"), with most planning to stay in their PJs to enjoy cyber deals. Of those who are out and about on the biggest shopping day of the year, they are buying gifts for others and not car shopping.
