Trabuco Canyon Resident Charged With Embezzlement
A Trabuco Canyon man who volunteered with a youth sports team was arrested and charged with embezzlement.

TRABUCO CANYON, CA - A Trabuco Canyon resident, who formerly served as treasurer of a Rancho Santa Margarita Little League team, was due to be arraigned Friday on charges of embezzling $87,500 from the organization.
Joshua Paul Nowack, 43, of Trabuco Canyon, was charged with 18 felony counts of embezzlement with a sentencing enhancement allegation of property damage exceeding $65,000. He could face up to 15 years and four months behind bars if convicted at trial.
Nowack was accused of transferring the money from the Tijeras Creek Little League team to his own accounts from January 2014 through September of last year, according to the Orange County District Attorney's Office.

A treasurer who took over for Nowack in October spotted the suspicious activity, prosecutors allege.
Nowack was arrested Thursday.
