Vote By Mail Or Drop Box In Trabuco Canyon
Planning on voting by mail for the June 5 Orange County elections? Tuesday was the last day to apply for that vote-by-mail ballot.
TRABUCO CANYON, CA — Voting by mail is one of the easiest ways to ensure your vote is heard. Tuesday evening, at 11:59 p.m. to be exact, was the deadline to request a vote-by-mail ballot for the June 5 statewide primary election, according to Orange County Registrar of Voters.
Vote-by-mail ballots that are mailed must be postmarked on or before Election Day and received by your county elections office no later than 3 days after Election Day, the Registrar of Voters said.
The biggest challenges for voting by mail are "if the ballot envelopes are unsigned" or if the signature "doesn't match the voter's signature," California's registrar of voters said in an informational video.

Also, be aware, the cost of mailing your ballot has gone up, from $.50 to $.71 which will be "messaged clearly in the vote-by-mail instructions," Kelley has said.
Already, 97,850 ballots have been received and scanned, Neal Kelley said in a recent release. That is down slightly from June 0f 2016, but ahead of June 2014 when only 73,667 ballots had been received.
