1 Injured In 2-Car Crash On I-680 In Walnut Creek

The crash was reported at 8:15 p.m. Saturday. Both vehicles involved ended up on the embankment beyond the right shoulder of the connector.

WALNUT CREEK, CA — At least one person was injured Saturday night in a two-vehicle collision on the connector ramp from southbound Interstate Highway 680 to westbound state Highway 24, the California Highway Patrol said.

The crash was reported at 8:15 p.m. Saturday. Both vehicles involved ended up on the embankment beyond the right shoulder of the connector, the CHP said; they came to rest almost a quarter-mile apart.

At least one person, described as conscious and alert, was trapped in one of the vehicles, the CHP said. No further information was immediately available.
