Ayesha Curry Sparks Online Conversation About 'Barely Wearing Clothes'
Her Twitter comments have drawn cheers and jeers.
WALNUT CREEK, CA - Stephen Curry’s exploits on the basketball court this season have been phenomenal, with the Warriors now 23-0 after Tuesday night’s win. He’s been named Player of the Week three of the six weeks so far this season.
But when it comes to melting down Twitter, Curry can’t hold a candle to his wife, Ayesha. Saturday night, the mother of two young girls tweeted, “Everyone’s into barely wearing clothes these days huh? Not my style. I like to keep the good stuff covered up for the one who matters.” Tens of thousands of people retweeted and added hearts, the twitterverse method of “liking” a post.

While many lovely comments agreed with Curry’s post, not everyone shared her opinion. Some women felt they were being shamed for dressing more provocatively. Meanwhile, some men made derogatory comments about women’s attire.
Curry later added, “Just looking at the latest fashion trends. I’ll take classy over trendy any day of the week. #saturdaynightinsight”

Coming down squarely in Ayesha’s corner was husband Steph, who chose Instagram to show his support. Beneath a photo of Ayesha in a black turtleneck topped by a plum leather jacket, he captioned, “My woman #TheInstagator.”
