Comment of the Day: "The Skate Park is a Mess"

A Walnut Creek resident — who asked to remain anonymous — wrote to Patch about the state of the Walnut Creek Skate Park. 

He said that "every morning it is a littered mess with beer bottles, trash, etc... Also, there are kids constantly skating without helmets."

"I'm all for a skate park, but the City needs to enforce the rules or shut it down," he wrote. "Perhaps closing it temporarily for a week, with a sign explaining why, would encourage more self-enforcement among its users. Heather Farms is a great amenity for our City, but the skate park is increasingly becoming a negative element."
