For those with even a minor sweet tooth, it's hard to imagine anything better than homemade ice cream between two homemade cookies. That was the vision behind CREAM, a Berkeley-based store that opened Saturday in Walnut Creek.
That idea paid off handsomely, judging by the long line on Monday afternoon at the North Main Street location. People of all ages were queued up at least 30 deep, their anticipation palpable.
Judging by the folks sitting at the outdoor tables, the mint ice cream is a big favorite.
But really, can there be a bad flavor, especially snuggled between two homemade cookies?
