CSAA Insurance Group Announces 2021 “Rising Stars”

February virtual conference to recognize growing talent in the insurance industry

Walnut Creek-based CSAA Insurance Group today announced six leaders from CSAA Insurance Group, a AAA insurer, are among the 123 insurance professionals from across the country and overseas named to the 2021 Class of Emerging Leaders. The class will be honored at the 2021 Virtual Emerging Leaders Conference on Feb. 22-23, hosted by the American Property Casualty Insurance Association (APCIA), the Insurance Careers Movement (ICM) and AM Best.

The conference – which is held in conjunction with the 6th Annual Insurance Careers Month in February – is designed to bring together and recognize talented and diverse rising stars in the insurance industry. Those selected represent a wide range of job functions, including technology, claims, government relations, underwriting, human resources, marketing, legal, product development, actuarial, and public relations. Nominees must have more than eight years of job experience and a demonstrated positive impact on their companies and the insurance industry. This year, many nominees also played a pivotal role in helping their companies navigate the challenges of the pandemic or with diversity, equity and inclusion efforts.

  • Beti Cung (Director, Innovation Labs)
  • Jachyn Davis (Director, Assistant General Counsel, Corporate Employment and Benefits Law)
  • Suzanne Meraz (Director, External Affairs)
  • Christian Myers (Director, Actuarial)
  • Maureen Parish (Director, Customer Insights)

We want to set us all up for success to serve the customers of today and tomorrow.”

After the Emerging Leaders Conference, the rising stars will join their fellow alumni in serving as ambassadors for the industry and in helping expand career opportunities in insurance.
