'The Diary of Anne Frank' Begins Month-long Run

WALNUT CREEK, CA — The stage adaptation of Anne Frank's book "The Diary of Anne Frank" will open Friday in Walnut Creek, city officials said.
From Friday through April 28 the story that has won numerous awards including the Tony Award and National Book Critics Circle Award will be performed at the Lesher Center for the Arts at 1601 Civic Drive.
Frank's classic book tells the tale of eight people who hide from the Nazis in an attic in Amsterdam.
