Downed Tree Backs Up Traffic In Walnut Creek

WALNUT CREEK, CA — A downed tree caused significant traffic delays on westbound Treat Boulevard near Candelero Drive in Walnut Creek Sunday, police said.

Police asked the public to avoid the area due to the traffic backups "and other issues," the Walnut Creek Police Department said shortly before noon.

There was no indication when the backups were expected to be resolved.
