Downtown Restaurant Closes Shortly After It Opens
Cafecitos Cafe opened in mid-October, but its doors are now locked

A downtown restaurant that opened a little more than a month ago has suddenly closed.
Cafecitos Cafe on Bonanza Street has had a bicycle lock on its doors for a couple weeks. Mail has piled up inside the door and equipment remains in place.
However, there is no sign on the door explaining what happened. There's also no mention of the closure on the restaurant's website. The cafe's phone number is no longer in service.
Patch left a message with the restaurant owner but has not heard back.
The restaurant opened in mid-October with the owner promising to bring a new flavor to downtown Walnut Creek.
Cafecitos Cafe was featuring South American cuisine. It's located in the old Harvest Market building.
