Feisty, Hissing Bobcat Treated For Injuries
Found by the side of a road, he was likely hit by a car.
WALNUT CREEK, CA — This juvenile bobcat is missing some teeth, has bruises on his lungs and is suffering from a respiratory infection, possibly pneumonia. But he has the teenage attitude down - hissing at Lindsay Wildlife Experience staff members as they treat him.
The juvenile boy was brought to the Walnut Creek facility after being found on the side of a road in Clayton. A social media post from Lindsay Wildlife speculated that he'd been hit by a car.
A veterinary team imaged the bobcat from his nose to his stubby tail. He's now getting antibiotics while on cage rest. "Though we are doing our best to help him he doesn’t so much appreciate it and shows us his feisty personality with hissing when being examined," the post said.
