WALNUT CREEK, CA — The photos of Hector Garza proudly holding his baby girl Camilla Rose are heartbreaking. Both are now dead, a woman is in jail charged with murder for the alleged DUI crash that claimed their lives, and left behind is a widow with funeral and hospital bills, and a lifetime of grief ahead of her.
Above are two of the dozen photos posted on a GoFundMe campaign to raise money for Kirsten Garza, who lost both her husband and baby. Hector Garza was killed instantly last Thursday in a four-vehicle wreck in Walnut Creek. Baby Camilla suffered severe head injuries and died at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital in Oakland on Tuesday.
